Project Excellence

The King David Schools have a remarkable 60-year track record and over 10 000 alumni.

Project Excellence is the first bold step in many years to move the Schools to new heights of educational excellence. 

We currently house close to 60% of Jewish youth, and are committed to provide these pupils and future generations with the educational experience needed for a successful start to life.

In 2007, we undertook a benchmarking exercise with top South African independent schools as well as top schools in the US and UK.

We used these findings to help shape our own plans for Project Excellence which will focus on 3 broad areas: (1) teacher excellence and teaching quality; (2) effective management and governance; and (3) appropriate infrastructure.

The SABJE and the Heads of the Schools have put in place new management and governance structures to help deliver on Project Excellence.
